Video Project Archive

Here we have three separate video projects that were all local jobs.

The Nutcracker
In 2004 I was contacted by members of the Westminster Ballet Theater to devise a transition for their production of The Nutcracker. This is the magical moment in which the toy nutcracker transforms into a ballet dancer. The video was projected onto twenty foot tall theater curtains, where upon the toy and the actor would appear to be scale size. To add to the effect smoke machines billowed out a mist over the curtains to produce a unique 3D effect and softened the appearance of the nutcracker and the actor. This project was produced in only a matter of days. The nutcracker prop was photographed and meticulously reproduced in 3D and rigged. A stock 3D character was used for the dancer and costumed to match the performer. Finally the CGI nutcracker dancer was animated to match the hand drawn flight choreography by the heads of the theater.

Technically Correct
Also in 2004 I was contacted to produce an opening title for a public access program. Following given notations and imagery, I came up with glowing sparks trailing across the major roadways of the county to the county seat.

RnR TV
In 2005 I was contacted to revamp a music video show and produce a distributable demo tape. This project involved reworking the logo, making a new show opener and closer, as well as all the popups and transitions for each video.
